CHURCH CONFLICT CONSULTATION

WHAT YOUR CHURCH GETS

If your church goes through the Church Conflict Track, what payoffs can you expect?

Phase 1: Assessment Visit

>>  Your Natural Church Development survey taken by 30 of your core leaders will identify your church health strengths and weaknesses.

>>   Guidance in viewing conflict biblically as an opportunity for growth in the life of the church rather than as something to fear or avoid.

>>  An opportunity for redemptive transformation of congregational attitudes toward church conflict while developing vision and excitement toward future ministry possibilities.

>>  Leaders will gain a more objective and comprehensive understanding of congregational needs and deficits with a view toward renewed church health and growth.

>>  Joy in seeing the open window of opportunity that conflict provides for churches that allow God to redeem their circumstances for good.

Phase 2: Church Conflict Consultation

>>  Through third-party mediation or facilitated group problem-solving, the parties to the conflict will have a better opportunity to resolve their conflict.

>>  Many destructive conflicts in churches reach that point because the church has a culture of conflict avoidance, failing to deal with conflicts as a routine, healthy, and necessary aspect of church life. By developing healthier attitudes toward conflict and improving practical skills in processing conflict, your church can minimize the destructive potential of future conflict and learn to constructively harness the power of conflict as an opportunity for growth.

>>  Because you will be looking at the big picture of church health, not just specific problems, you will gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your congregation.

>>  Based on this understand of the state of the church's health, your consulting team will work with you to develop a plan consisting of strategic action steps to strengthen your Minimum Factor area.

>>  You will have a Church Health Team trained to facilitate the implementation of this plan, with ongoing coaching from a member of the consulting team for the twelve months following the launch visit.

>>  Eighty-five percent of churches that go through this process and take a second Natural Church Development survey show measurable improvement in church health. If you implement the recommendations growing out of your consultation, you are very likely to have a measurably healthier church a year from now.
